The Amnik 15 is surprisingly fast for its smaller length (15') and is extremely stable. The Amnik 15 offers ample room with a cockpit that is lower in the rear for easy entrances and exits.

"I purchased a Seaward Kayaks Amnik 14.5 at Mountain Equipment Co-op in Calgary. After being out in Nanaimo for a week of kayaking with friends I decided to buy one for myself. After lots of studying and reading write ups, I decided on this model.The Amnik 14.5 is a good size for my small car although I still have to wait for the kayak rack to be delivered I am raring to get out and give it a test run. Did my first paddle in my Amnik 14.5 yesterday on the very smooth as glass Glenmore Reservoir, Calgary, in bright blue sky and 29 degree temp. The kayak handles beautifully. It,s smooth, fast and responds well when using the rudder. After four hours of paddling and whilst loading it back on the car, twice people came up to me and asked me about the kayak (one gentleman from Nanaimo!) I made sure i told them about the company and where it is located and where I purchased the kayak.
